~ Blueys Cottage Bed &Breakfast ~ Bluey’s
Cottage is versatile in that it also offers the option of bed and
breakfast and our breakfasts are quite a feast. Unfortunately we do not
offer this service during the busy summer holiday period. Bluey's Cottage is at 189 Boomerang Drive, Bluey's Beach (off the Lakes Way) 20 minutes south of Forster/Tuncurry and is a well appointed, fully self-contained 2 bedroom apartment. We are only 150 metres from the beach and a 60 metre stroll to a buzzing little shopping strip and take great pride in being an approved disabled facility as well as being child friendly. The main bedroom houses a queen size bed and opens onto a small court yard. A large second bedroom boasts a double bed as well as two singles and can therefore sleep four comfortably. This looks out on a lovely garden area. A large private deck at the back of the property has an outdoor setting, umbrella and BBQ and is perfect for al fresco dining if you are too tired to go out after a day of surf and sun. There is an outdoor shower to wash off the sand and salt and a few comfy deckchairs to soak up the sun. A hidden hammock in a quiet corner under the trees makes for great reading and/or afternoon snoozing. We do overnight stays, weekend stays, have mid week packages as well as weekly rates for bed and breakfast. Dinner is available upon request. |

~ Local Attractions Local Attractions ~ Relax and enjoy in the tranquillity of Pacific Palms in the Great Lakes District on the mid-north coast of New South Wales, an area famous for its string of pristine beaches, beautiful lakes and cabbage palms. Pacific
Palms - "Paradise" to the locals, has something for everyone and
is embraced by National Parks. Besides
Bluey's, Boomerang, Shelley and Elizabeth Beaches being within walking
distance from Bluey's Cottage, there are some beautiful nature walks. A
five or ten minute drive will take you to Wallis or Smith's Lake, perfect
for boating, fishing, windsurfing or hiring a canoe.
A 20 minute drive south takes you to the very popular and beautiful
Seal Rocks and it's light house, the second most eastern point on
Australia's east coast and a 20 minute drive north, will take you to
Forster/Tuncurry for great shopping or taking a movie on a rainy day.
Our local 20 by12 Diner is a must, as is a stroll to Jenz for a
coffee. For the best gourmet pizzas, there is Huey's at Bluey's Pizzeria,
again only a stroll away from our front door. And
for breakfast, lunch and or dinner there is the ever popular Kingfisher
Restaurant on Boomerang Drive and Buddha by the Sea at Red Gum, Boomerang.
The very popular Recreation Club is a five minute drive away and
has a good dining room as well as an enjoyable balcony to watch the sun
set whilst sipping a glass of your favourite. Smith’s Lake Bowling Club
is a five minute drive in the other direction and also serves great meals.
For a little pampering, visit The Blue Healer next door for a massage, facial or Bowen, whichever is your preference but book early as "being pampered" is very popular. ~ "Disable access" ~ Our rates are seasonal from $180.00 per double per night including our special full breakfast. Extra charge per child $25.00 / adult Bookings are
essential for more than one overnight stays, and must be made 7 days prior
to your arrival date. A 25%
deposit is required at the time of your booking, balance to be paid upon
arrival. Deposits for
cancellation more than 14 days prior to arrival will be refunded less a $30.00 booking fee. Deposits
for cancellations within the 14 day period will not be refunded. The
B&B apartment sleeps up
to six people. Herewith
a few standard terms and conditions of holiday letting: 1.
Premises are let for holiday purposes only for the period stated on
your email/invoice. 2.
The premises are available after 2.00 pm on the day of arrival and
are to be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure unless special
arrangements are made at time of booking. 3. Maximum number of persons permitted to occupy the booked premises will form part of the booking contract and will be nominated when you make your booking. Premises
can sleep up to six people. 4.
